Mr. Linde proposes leaving each situation, and ultimately the world, better than he found it. In this spirit, Peter strives to integrate a whole-health approach to each unique individual’s well-being. Although Peter specializes in controlling symptoms of mental health distress through psychiatric medication, he believes that medications are not cures in and of themselves. Rather,
pharmaceuticals are practical tools to assist each person through the unique challenges they experience as part of life and their pursuit of self-defined recovery and mental well-being. Thus, through an educated process of careful management, he can help patients as they work to live the best version of themselves.
Peter believes in life-long learning. Whether through formal education or independent inquiry, it is by delving into the wealth of knowledge and metaphysical aspects provided in all of life’s richness that we learn evermore about who we are and our purpose. Peter’s purpose began by earning a nursing degree from the University of South Dakota. Then, the journey continued to a master’s of nursing from Walden University, specializing in psychiatry and mental health.
Although Peter has a substantial and varied work history, he spent the last 15 years as a registered nurse, including six as a charge nurse in the acute psychiatric inpatient ward at the VA. Earning his degree and becoming a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner has allowed him to expand his service to others through the diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders.
He is most proud of his kids and, along with his bride of 30 years, has enjoyed watching them mature into fine young men and women. Peter enjoys swimming, biking, and hiking in his spare time, occasionally summiting a “fourteener” somewhere along the Continental Divide. When not outdoors, he reads, watches movies, or works on projects around the house or on his cars.
