Tiffany Mooney, MS, LPC-MH, QMHP

Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health

“It’s OK not to be OK…..Just don’t give up. Although no one else can heal or do your inner work for you; this doesn’t mean you can, should, or need to do that work alone.”

Tiffany is a calm individual who enjoys an easy laugh and listens with empathy. She wants you to feel comfortable and supported in therapy. Tiffany has noticed her clients respond well to her balanced, calming presence. She knows her clients are experts on themselves, which helps to create an understanding from their perspective.  This client based insight is used to provide new ideas to assist in fostering a healing environment.

Tiffany was raised on a ranch, so she enjoys spending time in rural areas where she can ride horses, play with her dogs, and enjoy numerous other outdoor activities. She also loves spending time with family.

She has a Masters in Community Mental Health and holds a Licensed Professional Counselor—MH (LPC-MH) and Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) Licenses in South Dakota.  She is also licensed in North Dakota, Nebraska, and Wyoming. Tiffany has 8 years of clinical mental health experience and 18 years of teaching experience. She is experienced working with both youth and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and other emotional difficulties. This experience includes work with 4 different Native American tribes where she assisted with crisis counseling and mental help therapy. She has helped individuals cope with work-related stress, relationship issues, gender issues (LGBTQ), and life transitions.

Tiffany has worked with children with emotional needs as well as behavioral problems as a school counselor. She has helped youth find success in school, both socially and emotionally, by working collaboratively with schools and parents as a school counselor. She enjoys working with adolescents and adults. Tiffany understands the many challenges facing her clients today as they strive to become more settled, happy, and present-focused.

Tiffany’s therapy approach can be viewed eclectic, as she searches and is driven to use techniques that match each of her clients. Favorite therapy techniques come from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Reality/Choice Therapy, and Narrative approaches, to name a few. Each person’s therapy should be as unique as the individual.
